He didn’t have time to get back to the nation on the Flight 253 terror attack… he was busy masterfully taking charge of an owwie suffered by a friend’s child in Hawaii; and he didn’t have time to deal immediately with the assassination of eight key CIA agents in Afghanistan because…
… he has been redecorating the Oval Office. An Associated Press reporter breathlessly reported that “Perhaps no room in the White House is more closely associated with the presidency.”
“Perhaps” the Oval office is synonymous with the President??? Don’t you love the state-run news media?
The “post-racial”, “post-political” healer of the nation can have anything he wants in the Oval Office from the vast stores of more than 230 years of our history… so naturally, he went heavy on Indian Native American pottery and MLK.
There's now a bust of King in the Oval Office, in addition to a pamphlet heralding the the 1963 March on Washington which previously hung in the his Senate office.
Wow. A pamphlet.
There are also some very interesting patent models which White House curator William Allman said fit Obama's personality — his "interest in American history….”
BTW… the King bust replaces the bust of Winston Churchill loaned to President Bush after 9/11, which Obama abruptly returned and thus highly offend Prime Minister Brown and the Brits (see my story here.)
But now the spin is: "It was already scheduled to go back," Allman said. Uh-huh, it’s Bush’s fault.
And here’s the kicker:
Like most presidents in the last 100 years Obama is using the Resolute desk which was built from the timbers of the British barque-rigged, Arctic explorer ship “Resolute”; during an expedition she became trapped in the ice and was abandoned. Recovered by an American whaler, she was returned to Queen Victoria in 1856.
In 1880 Queen Victoria presented the desk to President Rutherford B. Hayes.
Reported AP: “During the redecorating a TV crew accidentally knocked over a glass of water on the desk during a June photo session, Obama didn't get the name quite right when he deadpanned, ‘It's the Resolution Desk. It's only like 100 years old’."
Like, totally, dude. His “love of history” serves him well, no? He sits at the desk whenever he finds time to enter the Oval Office and he can’t even get the name right.
Perhaps he was tired from visiting the 57th state or something.
And BTW Mr. President… it’s more, like, uh, 130 years old.
News Item:
“Married couples in France could end up with criminal records for insulting each other during arguments.
“Under a new law, France is to become the first country in the world to ban ' psychological violence' within marriage. The law would apply to cohabiting couples and to both men and women.”
Yell at your wife, you go to jail? Gosh, it’s good that doesn’t happen here.
Wrong, amigo; dead wrong.
In 2002 I yelled at my adulterous wife after discovering her repeated infidelity… I let her have it with every vile descriptor I could muster and stormed out of her office and into mine. There was no violence, except her aiming an ineffective slap at my head.
She yelled she was going to “call the cops”. “Go ahead”, I said. I couldn’t wait to embarrass her in front of the authorities.
What happened in the next few minutes landed me in jail, trapped me in the “legal” system for several years, bankrupted me, I lost my home, my 10-year psychotherapy private practice, my profession…… and my Second Amendment rights as (I thought were) guaranteed by the Constitution.
She called the cops and said I’d yelled at her… even she didn’t allege violence; she did say I was armed with not one, but two handguns; we were in our office suite at the time and I was waiting on a client. I didn’t find the need to be strapped when I counseled people.
Within 2-3 minutes I was looking out my office rear window when a deputy sheriff sneaked by not two feet away, gun in hand. Calmly I walked to the lobby and stood with my arms held out, shoulder level, palms forward. Within 30 seconds six deputies momentarily wedged themselves in the doorframe; had I been deranged and armed, most of them would have died as they had to hustle past the picture window to the door.
I was looking down the barrels of six auto-loaders, and yes, the muzzles look like manhole covers. It was attempted assassination-by-cop by spousal proxy.
Some of the deputies were screaming “where’s the guns?” which was confusing to me—I didn’t know she’d lied to 911 about weapons.
Others were yelling “get down”; I didn’t move a muscle, figuring that in this amped up moment, freezing was best.
Someone hooked me up and a sergeant went into the adulterer’s office. A few minutes later he came out and put me under arrest for “harassment.”
He was followed by “her” whose acting chops suck, but they were more than enough for some lowbrow, avenging, big strong cop coming to the aid of a damsel in distress.
She looked a lot like this.
I was charged with “harassment” but because she was my wife (but this also applies to anyone with whom you have or had an “intimate” relationship) it was considered under the state’s “domestic violence” statute.
I was perp-walked down my sidewalk in full view of all the offices in my complex and then sat in the backseat of the unit while the lunch crowed gawked.
I was informed I was now under a restraining order and was not allowed to go home, or to my office or anywhere she might be. I was rendered homeless, jobless, without clothes, personal items and the like.
Wrists cuffed to a thick leather belt, legs shackled and dressed in prison orange, I complained to the judge that I would have no income if I couldn’t at least schedule my clients in the weekends or when what’s her name wasn’t there.
“Get another office”, said the man in the dress behind the big desk. Hell, I couldn’t get a night in a fancy hotel.
After 23 1/2 hours in jail and was released on O.R. Had it been on a Friday, I’d have been in a cell until Monday afternoon.
She blocked my office phone, I couldn't’ retrieve clients’ calls, some of which were urgent.
And here’s how after eight years, I continue to pay for my non-crime (I was never convicted of anything)… because of the infamous (Sen. Frank) Lautenberg Amendment, which among other things, bans ownership, possession, transport or use of guns or ammunition by individuals under a permanent restraining (protection) order for domestic abuse. The act also makes it unlawful to knowingly sell or give a firearm or ammunition to such person.
The “Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban” is permanent…. meaning until your last breath even though as a first time “offender” (sic) I received deferred judgment after two years’ probation and mandatory “domestic violence” counseling; this scam is a license to print money for therapists and shrinks, and above all, doesn’t do a damned thing…. cost me $40/weekly session for the better part of a year.
The restraining order process also denies you of “due process”… the first you learn of the specific allegations is when you hear the bitch complainant make her case in court. Quick off the top of your head… where were you last September 14? Can you prove it in the 15 minutes?
Bang!
The judge (always) finds her “evidence” compelling… and you’ve just had your right to keep and bear arms ripped away from you in an American court.
There is no appeal, no recourse even if you are later found not guilty of the domestic violence offense.
Since my arrest in 2002 my gun collection has been cared for by a friend, and should I violate the gun/ammo ban… I’d be looking at 5 years’ hard federal time.
By comparison… had I punched someone in the face in a bar instead of yelling at my wife, none of this would have applied. I would have gotten deferred judgment, probation and no restraining order. And I’d still have my guns and a concealed carry permit and I’d still be living in my beloved Colorado.
- Due to Lautenberg, the law effectively mandated the discharge of military service members who had been convicted of domestic violence, and mandates the discharge of all service members who are convicted of domestic violence in the future. This is not explicitly written in the law, but a side effect of servicemembers' access to firearms in the course of their duties. A servicemember discharged this way is said to be Lautenberg.
- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) sent a notice to every law enforcement agency when this law went into effect. Police officers with prior misdemeanor convictions of domestic violence from years earlier were no longer permitted to possess firearms under the new federal law. Several officers were fired for such past misdemeanor offenses. Several of the gun magazines printed a copy of this new ATF order at the time.
“…. 700 miles, 1,000’s better.”
The day my probation was over, I found a sheriff’s deputy’s card in my door, “call me” it said.
She had called and told the cops I’d violated the restraining order the previous “April or May” and I had three days to run myself in…. the penalties for violating a restraining order are greater than the “harassment” charge in the first place.
The nightmare which had just ended hours before, started all over.
Another $4-G retainer for the attorney, and combined with my attorney fees for my divorce and the attorney for the law suit she filed against me ($300,000 for “emotional” damages for being yelled at)….. without friends, Tripoli and I would have been living in my truck.
I called my attorney and a former jarhead who runs a “men’s rights” website and advocacy group…. “how do I get out of this… how can I protect myself?”
The website guy seconded what my attorney recommended… adding:
“We have a saying around her for guys in your situation: ‘Move. Seven hundred miles, a thousand’s better’.”
I then lost my home of more than 40 years and moved to Texas.
This ain’t yer father’s country, especially now
Mine is a cautionary tale, my male friends; do not disregard this, it is all true and varies but slightly from state to state. You are one phone call away from my life which in many ways will never recover.
If I’d had but an inkling of what was to come, I’d have slapped her with divorce papers out of the blue and tried to get as much of my assets out as possible, as quickly as possible.
But I was an American, a veteran, a true believer and a patriot; mine was a nation of laws! I would ultimately get my fair hearing, my day in court.
Bull-shit… excuse my French.
If you’re looking for justice in the American court system—especially if you are male—you are an idiot. If you seek a fair shake In divorce court or in DV matters, you’re an idiot to infinity.
Some additional pitfalls for the unwary.
“Demonstrated violence” is no different from smacking her. You see, if it makes her “frightened” and “upset”, she’ll take your kids and have the state and the county thugs at her disposal for the rest of her days if she wants.
- All-star Patrick Roy of the Colorado Avalanche was arrested for domestic violence on Sunday, October 22, 2000. Roy and his wife were in an argument, and his wife made a hang-up call to 911. Police found physical damage to the house and Roy was hooked up and taken downtown.
Malicious mischief charges were eventually dropped, but was a millionaire and a sports hero and perhaps the judge was a groupie.
You pull the phone out of the wall or hang it up when she’s calling 911?
Welcome to federal charges my friends… “interfering with a federally-license communication device AND DV, because, of course, she was frightened.
In jail I met a young guy who was in a similar situation but with three kids. He found out, kicked the slut out of the house and when she demanded to see the children he told her to get an attorney and hung up.
She called cops and told them he had the kids and he was threatening to blow up the house and all of them in it.
Next thing the guy knew he was in the 6 o’clock news… the SWAT team telling him to come out before someone got hurt.
Three felonies…. including child endangerment, terrorist threats and DV.
It was months before he even talked to his kids on the phone; meanwhile she was living in his house he was making payments, and with her boyfriend.

I could go on…. and on… but suffice to say, you do not live in the America of your beliefs, you live in a country where cops, investigators, districts attorney, judges and probation officers are cowards. Given the choice of looking for truth and justice, and being targeted by dried-up feminist, butch lesbian therapists, “advocates” and craven state legislators… not to mention ignorant voters who will see you are “soft on domestic violence”, public servants will, my friend, thrown you immediately under the bus.
If your are interested, especially if you are or were in an unstable relationship, past or present, here are some helpful sites:
As you can see, the bar is set so low when it comes to women and DV “victims” —I intend to continue to forego involvement with the “fairer” sex.
