Once again--as is Leatherneckm31 policy, I make every attempt to give those who thoughtfully disagree as much space as needed to make their positions clear. To that end... "Irrate Righty" from a couple of days ago, has a few more thoughts. His comments are emphasised.
This brings to mind the quote from Voltaire ", I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." I strongly disagree with abortion, and I would never consider the option if confronted with an accidental pregnancy, yet I do believe in maintaining an individual’s right to choose.
What of the rights of the child… or do God-given rights only pertain to those one moment from the womb? You cannot "disagree" with abortion yet support taking a life on demand any more than you can "support the troops" and oppose the troops’ mission.
