Hugo Chavez has focused the national attention a bit over the last few days as has Mahmoud Ahmadiwhackjob to a lesser extent; I would even say that the minor hubbub has even generated a bit, a slight bit of what this country used to proclaim: "Don't Tread on Me"!
But it's little more than jingoism from the summer soldiers and sunshine patriots; nothing has changed.
The more important news is that Chavez' mention of Noam Comsky's published drivel drove presumably thousands of your fellow citizens (no doubt most are brain dead college students) to purchase the book from Amazon.com and push it to first place.
It's a big day when Chomsky's traitorous bilge surpasses a couple of diet books and disgraced fortmer NJ Gov. James E. McGreevey's bugger-and-tell tome... the favorite kind of reading of most Americans.
Plus, Chavez was given a standing ovation by students, professors and union organizers at Cooper Union College in New York Wednesday, and was greeted wildly with cheers and Venezuelan flags at a Baptist Church in Harlem.
Well, now there's a surprise... you wanna find traitors and fifth-columnists in numbers? Just drop into a union hall, a black church in a poor section of a major city, or any typical college in America.
Receiving second billing at the Harlem event was has been actor, and anti-American seditionist Danny Glover, who was fired back in 2003 from his pitchman job for MCI. The church setting apparently prevented Glover from literally kissing Chavez' ass.
Not to be outdone, Columbia invited Ahmadiwhackjob to speak, as did the Council on Foreign Relations after his United Nations speech. And just a few weeks back, Harvard and the National Cathedral hosted former Iranian president Ayatollah Khatami.
(This just in: Columbia has apparently cx'ed the speech due to "logistic" problems... un-huh, didn't know pissing off your patriotic graduates and donors was "logistical".)
All you have to do it seems is hate America, be a terrorist, lead terrorists or trade with terrorist and by gawd you got a visa waiting. These invitations were given to Anti-Semites who have threatened to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, deny the Holocaust and have caused the kidnapping and deaths of our military troops.
Why are these scumbags here? Does not our government control who enters this country? Uh, okay, disregard that. On individual, high-profile cases we can certainly refuse to given such cretins access to out airways, colleges and churches. We learn nothing from them that we did not already know.
If our citizens, not to mention leaders, travel to countries such as Venezuela and Iran, they risk their lives. Why should leaders of such piece of crap "nations" be allowed to touch our soil?
What's the down side here? They'll hate us more and kill us more than they do now?

As someone who fully appreciates the female form (up to a point), this will be another image I can't get out of my head.
As I understand it, garments that can prevent this sort of male blindness can be readily purchased almost anywhere, and are not that expensive.
There are just some things about the world I don't understand.
