(Editor's note): Will be headed for Cali in the a.m.; business and pleasure, if you count a 40th high school reunion and facing ones mortality with fellow geezers, pleasure.... yeah, well, I do.
Back in the San Joaquin Valley... it's always good to return to ones roots and recall a simpler life when the world could be counted on, more or less. While growing up in Taft, I never saw a transvestite and democrats were just as concerned about our national defense as the Republicans.
Oh, what pleasant days.
Heading up the traitor's list of radical/liberal wastes of skin this week is the miserable bitch attorney (pardon the redundancy), Lynne Stewart, who collaborated with the subhuman, raghead terrorists in order to undermine our national security and improve the chances that innocent American citizens here and abroad will be slaughtered.
She faced 30 years in prison for transmitting orders of imprisoned "blind sheikh" Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, to his henchman.
Her sentence? Twenty-eight months. In other words, less time than tax evasion by a plumber.
The subhumans won't defeat us in this war... but the other party, the news media, judges and traitors galore just might.
Michelle Malkin nails it as always:
"In America, we have an ingenious constitutional framework that promotes unprecedented economic and social freedom, not to mention nigh-uninhibited human creativity. It is rightfully the envy of the world. It is the fortress that safeguards all civil rights worthy of the name. And ... it is the system that Lynne Stewart, in her hallucinogenic adulation of bloody revolution for the sake of nothing more than revolution (and its attendant idol worship of monsters like Mao and Stalin and Castro and, of course, Abdel Rahman), would supplant.
"Thus, it's been impossible to read the fawning pro-Stewart coverage in the New York Times for the past two years and not wonder whether either the newspaper or Lynne understands that if the causes they promote ever actually achieved their ends, the very first thing the new regimes would do is shut down useful idiots like the New York Times and Lynne Stewart."
Infamous waste-of-skin subhuman Khaled Sheikh Mohammed has confessed (under a round of CIA-applied waterboarding probably) to the torture and butchery of reporter Daniel Pearl.
According to Time, he'll be tried for that horrific murder as well as his part in the 9/11 atrocity "by the Bush Administration", as the leftist Journo-Americans call it. I guess it was Truman who tried the Nazis and the Japs.
Now that we've apparently gotten a great deal of info
from this collection of putrid pond scum (considering he admitting to sawing off Pearl's head with a knife, even adding that he had to employ a second blade because the first dulled quickly) I'd just as soon we discovered him hanging in his cell one day.
I'll buy the rope and make sure he uses it.
Why? Because trying and convicting him of the mass murder of 3,001 human beings, will only get him a life sentence which will be appealed for the foreseeable future with the help of the ACLU.
In fact, there's probably a good chance he'd only get 28 months.
And is it any wonder I firmly believe that people just ain't no damned good?
Will post from the road.

I was reminded that today (October 23rd) is the sad anniversary of the attack in Beirut in 1983.

People wonder why I am so cynical. When you look at society and the accounts of the day, you see the how far we have descended into the abyss.
Is the point where Dr Strangelove makes his appearance?
