For 50 years WWII Recipient Bob Maxwell, 86, above left, has tried to get his home state--Oregon--to provide him with Medal of Honor license plate for his car, like all the other 49 states have done.
Here's what he was told most recently --Oregon state law says special plates can only be issued if at least 500 people applied each year (though only 112 honorees are alive in the entire country)—and if he would pay the $10,000-plus in start-up costs... for his own plates.
It gets worse... the company that prints the Oregon's plates waived its fees and pressed a complimentary set of plates for Maxwell a year ago. But without backing legislation, the plates are illegal.
Perhaps you'd like to tell Gov. Ted Kulongoski (sad to say a former Marine, and obviously, a democrat) what you think of him and his his state.
Typical news cycle when you monitor the lefties... it's such a target-rich environment that I am forced to pause to avoid knee-jerk posting; you never know when Barney Frank will show up on the floor of the House in his basic black dress with pearls, and I don't want to miss it.
In the meantime... didn't watch the fawning narcissism that is the Academy Awards... stopped years ago; it strikes me as unpatriotic.
Wall to wall homos... ... not a single, official word from the Academy about the young Americans fighting and dying while those who aren't worthy to fill their canteens cavort in an orgiastic, self-congratulation unknown since the Romans.
The Nation's First Hypocrite, Algore, was/is near being canonized, telling us how to live while he spends more in wasted utilities for his mansion than millions of Americans make a year.
Only lefties and dem-wit-ocrats would lap up this crap. Edwards is right... there are "two Americas"--the elite, leftist world-- and the rest of us.
I guess unindicted co-conspirator and NY senator, Hillary! just plum forgot about that $5 mil charitable foundation she and William The Impeached have been milking when it came to tax time and her Senate ethics declarations.
The ongoing criminal enterprise that is Clintonism wrote off more than $5 million from their taxable personal income since 2001, while dispensing $1.25 million in charitable contributions over the same period.
Write off 5, pay out a buck and a quarter... and don't report that the foundation even exists; nice deal, huh? And all she has to do is say "oops" and re-write those declarations which state that lying on them could result in a perjury charge; an empty threat when it comes to Clintions.
Again, only dumbasses would fall for these charlatans.
Remember when a top-secret document outlining Rudy G's entire campaign was "obtained" and reported by the left media a few months ago?
Gosh, now lightening has done struck again ... this time to a critical internal document from the Mitt Romney campaign has been "obtained" by the Boston Globe-- a pub to the right of perhaps only Mother Jones.
Ever wonder how these ultra sensitive documents are routinely "discovered" and published by the left media and yet the dem candidates' documents are as secure from public scrunity as Fort Knox?
