To hear Al Sharpton and Sheila Jackson Lee (Lee and Jackson???!; why don't she change her names?) tell it.... this is the most grievous outrage since Selma.
Lee charges the federal government has failed for years to fully enforce civil rights laws.
"Shame on you," said Jackson Lee.
Yeah, it's Bush's fault...yawn.
One high school turf fight in which the white boy was beaten by six diversities, yet it's the blacks, as usual, who howl racism because a noose showed up in a high school campus tree at the center of the tension. Never mind the blood and dental work on whitey... we're offended!

he white kids who hung the rope were suspended, and that should have been that.
But instead of a gang of black thugs being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for beating and kicking the white kid unconscious during a hate crime... our poor "African-American" brothers now demand the feds take action on their behalf because some dipwads and their knot-tying.
But District Court Judge J.P. Mauffrey Jr. didn't let the race carpetbaggers even get started; today he sentenced teen gangster Mychal Bell to 18 months in jail on two counts of simple battery and two counts of criminal destruction of property on charges separate from attack on Justin Baker.
Bell, who was 16 at the time, was convicted last June of aggravated second-degree battery and conspiracy to commit that crime. LaSalle Parish prosecutor Reed Walters reduced the charges just before the trial. Since then, both of those convictions were dismissed and tossed back to juvenile court, where they now are being tried.
Charges against two 18 and one 19-year-olds, have been reduced to aggravated second-degree battery. A third 18-year-old has yet to be arraigned.
So the racists have the fix working... convictions tossed out, charges reduced... my guess is that Bell will soon be out despite his sentence and I doubt his fellow gang members will do any time.
There's racial discrimination going on for sure... it's against Justin Baker.
Here's my suggestion to Lee, Sharpton and Jesse Jackson...
Get back to me when black men stop abandoning their kids, stop shooting drugs (and other black men), cease all gang activity, finish at least the eighth grade, talk like they can form a single coherent sentence in good ole American English, get off the government doll and start rebuilding the African-American nuclear family.

Speaking of ignoramuses... Retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez said the other day that the U.S. mission in Iraq is a "nightmare with no end in sight" because of political misjudgments after the fall of Saddam Hussein that continue today.
Of course he's the darling of the MSM now for these comments and others bashing Bush, but in the spirit of full disclosure we observe that Sanchez is jousting at windmills.... it was he who was in charge of all US forces when the insurgency began and he was a miserable failure in combating it.
As a result, he was essentially sacked and even stiffed of the typical "tombstone promotion" to four--star general that is almost routine at retirement or any lieutenant-general.
His speech was nothing more than trying to blame everyone else, but him.

As to the trendy "noose news"... blame the press. They practically advertise for any loose nut in the nation to hang up a noose in public so it can get blown all out of proportion. A few stupid kids doing stupid acts does not a nation of racists make (I think that is from Shakespeare, but I'm not sure.) I predict that it will later be discovered that at least one noose was hung by a black activist (or maybe a loopy District Attorney).
Meanwhile, that same (MSM) press doesn't feel a Presidential press conference is news worthy.
