Nero would be proud...

imageThe long nation al nightmare is finally over.

Your House of Representatives (sic) has overwhelmingly voted to issue a formal apology to black Americans for the institution of slavery, and the subsequent Jim Crows laws.

This was undertaken by the bill's author some white freshman named Cohen who represents a majority black district and who, it just so happens, faces a stiff primary challenge from, yes, a black guy.

Thank gawd these public servants have time to deal with 140-year-old issues.

This is a group of people who have done nothing about anything except bail out dipwads who bought McMansions they couldn't afford by giving them your money and making the fight against global warming its top priority.

Yes, they didn't have time to do anything about $4 gas or our suffering financial pictures and the fading US dollar, but they're really focused on the Spotted Owl, and "alternative sources of power" which will never be an answer to our fuel problems. Talk about tilting at windmills.

image White people today don't have to apologize to blacks for anything; that little issue was settled by the corpses of 360,000 white Union soldiers and one lanky, bearded Republican.

Besides apologies mean nothing... they're after the cash. Wait for racists Sharpie and Jesse, on tonight's news to complain the House didn't go far enough.

What blacks and other left-wing diversity reporters are very good at is objective journalism (via Michelle Malkin):

“He touched me!”

So squealed a journalist attending Barack Obama’s speech yesterday to UNITY, the conglomerate of racial/ethnic identity-obsessed news associations for blacks, Asian-Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans in the media, according to the Chicago Tribune’s Swamp blog.

The UNITY event organizers were so concerned about public displays of Obamedia affection that they issued several warnings to their news professional members that the speech would be broadcast live on CNN. “Professional decorum” was encouraged. One wire story even fretted: “Can minority journalists resist applauding Obama?”

Naturally the admonition wasn't just unheeded, it was lost in the cheering and applauding as the fair and balanced group rushed the stage for autographs and photos.

imageThis frees every news consumer to disregard any story assigned, produced, edited, or reported by a minority journalist for the rest of this presidential election. (I took that step decades ago).

Sadly, they're no different than 90-percent of all journalists, regardless of color. I think the anchors who slavishly followed in The Messiah's wake on his World Victory Tour '08 should immediately apologize to Obama for slavery... oh, and Obama's racist grandma too.

Course, I'm just bitter and over involved with the Bible and guns.

And just so the Republican party, which appears to be on life support, won't feel left out:

Thank you Ted Stevens, you horse's ass.

imageStevens, 84, the longest-serving GOP lawmaker has been indicted yesterday by the Justice Department:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Ted Stevens, the nation's longest-serving Republican senator and a major figure in Alaska politics since before statehood, was indicted Tuesday on seven felony counts of concealing more than a quarter of a million dollars in house renovations and gifts from a powerful oil contractor that lobbied him for government aid.

Stevens, 84, is the first sitting U.S. senator to face federal indictment since 1993. He declared, "I am innocent of these charges and intend to prove that."

You'd think that he's probably remain in office, but his party's leadership won't stand for it, unlike the party of William Jefferson who couldn't explain the $900,000 in cash he had in his home freezer.

imageDidn't matter, he just told San Fran Gram Nan Pelosi to pound sand when she observed that he should step down. That's the way they roll.

And speaking of corrupt... that jackass running Israel, PM Ehud Olmert will be gone by dinner time.

Good riddance... he's the best prime minister Hezbollah ever had.

The differences between us

image Tough news from inside The Beltway...veteran journalist Bob Novak has a brain tumor and has placed his nationally syndicated column on hold.

"I will be suspending my journalistic work for an indefinite but, God willing, not too lengthy period," Novak, editor of the Evans-Novak Political Reports, said in the statement released by his publisher, Eagle Publishing.

His treatment has begun in Boston and it's unknown at this point if the tumor is malignant.

He's not as much of a lightening rod as Rush Limbaugh for the left, but he has been a TV talking head for decades on CNN's "Crossfire" (1980 to 2005) and when the MSM networks seek the occasional conservative point of view--for which he's hated by the left.

Point being... that this grim news will be welcomed by despicable consider-the-sources such as HuffPo and Daily Kos.  The comments cheering the deadly disease will be about two-thirds as loud and loutish as those unloosed on President Reagan's Alzheimer's and Vice President Cheney's weakened heart, but a few notches worse than the inhumane comments about the late Tony Snow.

I mention it because it's another opportunity to point out a foundational difference between the right wing and the left wing.  I am not aware of any distasteful comments from the right about Sen. Kennedy's similar, very serious health threat.

image Telling difference

Back in 1980, after waking up from a prolonged liberal slumber, I had yet to find my political voice, but had voted for Ronald Reagan. I had left newspapering to take a position in Colorado Gov. Dick Lamm's administration.

Needless to say, there were very few conservatives in the state capitol since the the democrat mini-revolution in '74 which saw the rise in the political fortunes of lefties Gary Hart, Pat Schroeder and Lamm, among others, who had ousted the state's GOP old guard.

March 30, 1981--

On my way to work I'd just heard of the attempt on President Reagan's life in Washington DC; I was subdued when I arrived.

People were standing around, talking. Someone noticed my demeanor and asked, "Why so quiet."

I thought it was obvious, but said, "Well, because of what's just happened." I remembered vividly the impact Nov. 22 had on me when I was 15."

"Huh, I didn't think it would bother you," one of my liberal democrat co-workers said.

image "He's our president," I said.

Throughout the day I noticed that I did feel differently about the assassination attempt. Most of those I worked with seemed to care very little... because it was Reagan; had it been Carter the office would have been much different that day.

That was one of my early lessons... about the essential difference between conservatives and liberals. For the secular left, devoid as it is of religion and deep love of country, have made politics their religion; for them, there is nothing higher.

The Obama candidacy is proof positive of that simple, underlying fact.

Recipient's passing leaves 102

daly_55 A quiet, dignified man, Michael J. Daly often said, "I'm no hero; the heroes were those who gave their lives."

Long before he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in 1945, Daly knew a great deal about heroism.

His father, Paul Daly, an Army World War I recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross who had twice been recommended for the Medal of Honor; he returned active duty 1941.

Daly, 83, died Friday of pancreatic cancer. His death leaves 102 living Medal of Honor Recipients, and brings to 27 the number of surviving WWII Recipients.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Fairfield Connecticut.

Daly enlisted in the Army as an 18-year-old private after leaving West Point in his plebe year.

menckemedalsAs a 20-year-old lieutenant in command of A Co., 15th Infantry Regt., 3rd Infantry Div., Daly landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day fought across Western Europe; and in the process, earned three Silver Stars, a Bronze Star with "V" device, and two Purple Hearts.

Early on the morning of April 18, 1945, on the outskirts of Nuremberg Germany, Daly's unit came under machine gun fire. Daly immediately charged the German position and killed the three-man crew with his carbine.

Continuing on ahead of his unit, he came upon an enemy patrol armed with rocket launchers hidden in the rubble of a bombed-out house, hoping to surprise US tanks.

daly_presentation2Once again Daly charged the enemy position, firing his carbine. Though the Germans responded by firing rockets, he held his ground and kept shooting until he had killed all six members of the patrol.

Daly continued on to a city park. Once again enemy automatic weapons fire raked A Company, killing one soldier.

Daly unhesitatingly  grabbed the fallen trooper's rifle and shot the two-man machine-gun team.

In all, he killed 15 Germans that afternoon and took out three machine-gun positions.

The next day, as he was leading his company into action, Daly was shot in the face; the bullet entered near the right ear and exited the opposite cheek.

Daly received medical treatment in England and in the States until mid-1946, but was well enough to travel to the White House on Aug. 23, 1945, to receive the Medal of Honor from President Harry Truman.

With him was his father, an Army colonel who had returned to active duty after Pearl Harbor and who was also recuperating from serious wounds while serving as a regimental commander in northern France, and was sent back to the States to recuperate.

800px-Purple_Heart_case Daly later recalled that after the White House ceremony he wished his father had received the medal he was wearing around his neck.

"Anybody would have done what I did," he later told a friend. "Luck is important in life. But in combat it is crucial. The bravest things are often done with God the only witness."

Following the war, Daly returned home and began a business career, starting as a salesmen for an oil company. He later became an successful entrepreneur which proved to be rewarding for him and benefited the charities in which he was involved. throughout his life

Later in life, in a speech to his former classmates at West Point, he spoke of visiting the cemetery above Omaha Beach:

"You walk that hallowed ground and once again you hear the clear notes of a distant trumpet — the same trumpet you hear walking across the parade ground at West Point — calling us, all of us, to a higher standard: Duty, honor, country "

Truth beginning to stalk dem candidates

With the tank shoulder-to-shoulder full of leftist MSM editors and reporters, some are drifting a bit off the reservation on stories so blatant that even Chris Matthews might even be forced to report them.

image I thought it very odd the other day when Team Barack announced that Pentagon canceled Obama's scheduled visit with wounded US troops at  at the Landstuhl Medical Center at Ramstein, Germany

But the military told NBC News they were prepared for The Messiah's visit today, but "for some reason the visit was called off."

Here's the truth: Obama's advance people canceled the photo-op when told political candidates are prohibited from using military installations as campaign backdrops and that "he could only bring two or three of his Senate staff member, no campaign officials or workers."

Furthermore, he "could not bring any media; only military photographers would be permitted to record Obama's visit."

Obama's World Tour '08 staff immediately opted out, but Army officials said didn't know why the request was abruptly withdrawn. "He (Obama) was more than welcome. We were all ready for him."

Obviously the man who wanted these very troops to lose the war in Iraq and worked to undermine their courageous efforts since he entered the US Senate, was very eager to use their empty pant legs and shirt sleeves for the visual "commander-in-chief" part to his campaign's big picture.

Despicable.

image Get used to seeing this picture:

Left is the well- known, ambulance-chasing scumbag PI ghoul, and at right is his long-time mistress and more currently, the mother of his love child, Rielle Hunter

The MSM has closed ranks to protect one of their own and has ignored the months-long investigation and expose by The National Enquirer, using the excuse that The Enquirer's work is not to be trusted.

'Course the tabloid has never forged documents and used them to try and throw the re-election of a sitting president.

image Edwards was tailed by two Enquirer reporters to a Los Angeles hotel July 21 where he stayed with Hunter overnight, apparently spending a lot of time with his illegitimate child.

Surprised and cornered by the reporters as he was leaving the hotel, Edwards sprinted to a men's bathroom and held the door shut in an attempt to keep them out. This encounter is confirmed by hotel security  guards who became involved and escorted the former senator out of the hotel.

The story of Edward's infidelity has been around for a long time; the Enquirer broke the story of Edwards' adultery and the child last year, when Rielle was still pregnant and Edwards was still considered a strong candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

After the story broke, Edwards denied the affair with Rielle, a former campaign worker, and concocted an elaborate cover story; in a bizarre twist, a well-known dem political operative Andrew Young, 41, a close friend of Edwards for years and a key member of his presidential campaign, claimed the baby was his.

Young is married and has children.

And Edward's wife, Elizabeth, is dying of cancer.

image It's Bill Clinton and Monica all over again. The MSM had to be dragged kicking and screaming to the story which would eventually lead to Clinton's impeachment--just the second time in American history.

And the dem apologists will trot out The Bubba Excuse: "It doesn't matter... it's his personal life."

Wrong... Edwards (until this little bimbo eruption) was apparently on Obama's list of possible VPs. Just another example of the type of people with whom he surrounds himself... Wes Clark, the America-hating con man, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and among others, domestic Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

And of course... it's just one more indictment of the MSM's overwhelming bias for democrats and other leftists and against conservatives and Republicans:

Exhibit A: Rep. Larry "Toe Tapping" Craig.

Here's an example of Obama support from his hometown.... Chicago.

'Seems a recent prostitution sting by Chi-Town's Finest netted not one, but two johns who couldn't tell a cop from a real prostitute, and out came the 'cuffs.

Their mug shots:... story here.

Enemies foreign and especially.... domestic

image

The overwhelming left bias of the media is no longer debatable, and never more than in this election cycle.

Investor's Business Daily reports that journalists contribute money to democrat issues or candidates by a ratio of 15:1

"Two-hundred thirty-five journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10-to-1. An even greater disparity, 20-to-1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.

"Searches for other newsroom categories (reporters, correspondents, news editors, anchors, newspaper editors and publishers) produces 311 donors to Democrats to 30 donors to Republicans, a ratio of just over 10-to-1. In terms of money, $279,266 went to Dems, $20,709.

image Hardly a surprise then that The NYT rejected McCain's response to Obama's position op-ed last week. In refusing to run the piece "as written", an NYT editor wrote:  "Let me suggest an approach. It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama's piece."

Such unmitigated news media arrogance is unprecedented, and yet another indication that the left no longer makes even the slightest effort at objectivity or journalism's ethical standards of fairness.

The Times, et al, used to perform a journalistic "watchdog" role for America, collectively, as "The Fourth Estate."

Now it's the "Fifth Column".

In Obamanation News: The State Dept. ruled that its employees are not to attend Obama's speech in Berlin because it has been deemed "politically partisan".

The leftists at State (90% of everyone who draws a paycheck) are outraged. It's 5:1 many will go anyway; they can always get jobs at the Times.

image The Weekly Standard reports that via MSNBC, former Gen. Wesley Clark continues his inability to open his pie hole without encouraging our enemies, attempting to undermine our war effort and slandering the troops he used to "lead".

His explanation for the overwhelming success of "the surge": "Actually, the surge was about Baghdad and it was not about Anbar province," he said. "They didn't bring more troops out to Anbar."

(Wrong, you four-star idiot, 4,000 of my jarheads performed up to the Corps' fabled battle tradition in clearing Anbar.)

A minor mouthpiece for Obama, Clark insisted that the US surge accomplished little, and that the defeat of al-Qaeda was orchestrated by the Iraqi Army after the Saudis bribed the Sunni tribes.

Fellow Marine:image

The UK's second-highest combat award, the George Cross, will soon be awarded to a British Marine Lance Corporal Matthew Croucher who threw himself on an enemy grenade to save his comrades.

Left--he holds the tattered remains of his pack which was shredded in the explosion.

The action occurred last February in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

image While on recon patrol, Croucher realized that he had activated a trip wire; he immediately dropped and smothered the grenade. The explosion blew him into the air.

“I felt the tripwire hit my shins," he said. "You know immediately what that means. All I could do in the moment was shout out, ‘Grenade’ before diving on top of it.”

For five “agonising” seconds he lay on his back, certain he would be killed or seriously injured, before the device went off. He was thrown into the air by the force of the explosion but survived with minor injuries as his rucksack cushioned the blow. “It was incredible. I escaped with only a nose bleed and a headache,” he said.

"Ich bein ein Beginner....."

image

What Bizarro World-Karl Rove political geniuses in the Obama campaign determined that their boy should run for president in Germany?

As far as I know, this is unprecedented for an American politician.

We're Americans, and by our very blood and Revolutionary DNA we do not look to Europe for much of anything. History shows that particular turnstile operates the other way.

Fresh off his attempt to undermine his country by trying to negotiate an end to the Iraq War in an afternoon (also a first), The One again shows he's not only pathetically naive, but woefully underestimates America's stomach the arrogance shown by the following:

“It is not going to be a political speech,” said an Obama senior foreign policy adviser, who spoke to reporters on background. “When the president of the United States goes and gives a speech, it is not a political speech or a political rally.

“But he is not president of the United States,” a reporter reminded the him.

image You'll recall his rework of the Presidential Seal in his favorite U.N. helmet-blue that went over like John Murtha at a Marine Corps Birthday celebration.

Maintaining our "Americanism" when overseas, our flag, the trappings of our highest office, standing at attention with hand over heart during the National Anthem... all symbolic and very important to the vast majority of us, if not Barack Hussein Obama.

Merci beaucoup?

Since LM31 is your main source of 411 on hip hop culture (sic)... we bring you this:

imageSomething called Nas (left) is outraged at Fox News for its “pattern of racist attacks against black Americans,” among them  Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

He joined ColorOfChange.org and MoveOn.org to deliver more than 620,000 petition signatures demanding Fox executive and broadcast staff immediately stop being racists.

... and beating their wives.

And you can't make this up:

William Leonard Roberts under the nom de stupid, Rick Ross - Trilla MC, is a rapper who found success 2006 because his lyrics reflected his background as a "cartel kingpin."

He shot to international attention with his first album which was based on events that he’d lived through.

image

But now because his career hangs in the balance because of widely-circulating rumors (which he denies) that in his past he worked as a..... prison guard!

Reports that Ross’ has fabricated his ‘cartel kingpin’ past could be devastating for his credibility and in turn, the longevity of his career.

Apparently this threat to his "street cred" could be career-ending, so he's denying the whole thing despite the fact there are pictures of him in law enforcement uniform, an 18-month job history, and details of his salary paperwork complete with his security social security number.

image Damn, just another case of The Man keepin' the brotha down.

Such an absurdity points out seemingly irreparable damage done to black and Hispanic youth by the so-called "gangsta" music and lifestyle.

Reality has been turned on its head when black kids believe the way to make it in life is first, become a criminal... then write down occasionally rhyming words and speak them.

Musical, singing or writing talent is not necessary; talk, look, and act like a thug and you can have fame and fortune.

The number two option for millions of black kids' view of success is simply become an NBA star.

image Uh-huh.... there are 450 players in the NBA. There are far fewer "rap stars" (thankfully) even making a living, and therefore the chance of success is even more remote.

The drop-out rate in Los Angeles California-a hotbed of rap entertainment-shows that 42 percent of black students and 30 percent of Latinos quit high school last year- far more than the state average.

Now that's cred.

July 22, 2008

"And I... feeeeel like I've... been here before...."

imageI never watch network TV news, there are too many other sources of news that aren't propaganda mills.

So... I've seen little of the tape of the Middle East leg of Obama's trip, except I did see poorly-shot tape of him in Baghdad shooting baskets (is there a bigger racial stereotype?).

My second thought was, what's a basketball court doing on a military base in the war zone?

But to the point... I just read this transcript this morning from blowhard Chris Matthews' show:

ANDREA MITCHELL: Let me just say something about the message management.  He didn't have reporters with him, he didn't have a press pool, he didn't do a press conference while he was on the ground in either Afghanistan or Iraq. What you're seeing is not what reporters brought in.  You're seeing selected pictures taken by the military, questions by the military, and what some would call fake interviews, because they're not interviews from a journalist.

So, there's a real press issue here.  Politically it's smart as can be.  But we've not seen a presidential candidate do this, in my recollection, ever before.

Let that sink in: no reporters, not even the minimal-to-moderate chance of objective information. Why isn't every reporter bitching about being cut out of the process? Where's the journalistic outrage?

image Good questions. The answer is obvious, but the real question here is will McCain be able to fight Obama and the combined forces of hundreds of millions from 527s, and the entire, in-the-tank leftist news media arrayed against him?

Bush was able to do so twice but he was running against poorer candidates both times. The left vowed this time to elect somebody, anybody with all left-of-center elements of this nation are working together.

Sieg Heil?

Obama wants to focus the "image value" of his entire trip on the Berlin appearance where he's planning to film his speech at The Victory Column. I suppose an impressive crowd would be 40,000+; chances are he'll probably achieve that.

But it doesn't matter... a crowd of even 20,000, if shot and edited right, will give him enough good footage for impactful, presidential-looking video from now until November.

And just whether oh where would a third-rate pol from Chi-town tap into high-level film editing and special effects expertise? You know the answer.

This was all explained before in a forgettable movie,"Wag The Dog."

image And before that it was called "Triumph of the Will" in which propagandist Leni Riefenstahl chronicled the rise of the Nazi Party in 1934.

It was and remains brilliantly shot and directed, but the credits roll you have the answer to the question:

"Why didn't someone stop him in the first place?"

A large part of the reason was that the world press was in the tank for the former community organizer from Austria.

And before the permanently panty-twisted stroke out, I'm not doing what the left does, demonizing someone as the best-known fascist genocidal creation from the depths of Hell.

Rather I am comparing two small-time highly unqualified politicians, surrounded a coterie of fawning sycophants who rose to the top of their respective parties with grandiose plans they promised would transform their nations.

capt.cps.nbj53.220708190827.photo03.photo.default-512x350 As did the former corporal, the former ACORN operative possesses solid oratory skills (except he didn't need a tele-prompter); both overcame the stigma of being "political outsiders" by criticizing the status quo and promising a brave new world in which the government would care for the masses from cradle to gave.

So successful was The National Socialists' propaganda that not only did Hitler unite the Germans, he envisioned a new world order with the the Germanic peoples in charge.

Sadly, millions of Germans were seduced by such promises, foreign leaders such as Britain's Neville Chamberlain believed the facade and not the dark reality. Joe Kennedy and even The Lone Eagle, Charles Lindbergh, were in the tank for the distasteful, strutting little man; thousands of Americans emulated the National Socialists with brown-shirt uniforms, swastika armbands and heated rhetorical.

The National Socialists co-opted the German military over the years, and the party's SS or ''Shield Squadron" was a civilian counterpart which would eventually wield great power, both politically and militarily; it was "an army within the army" which, like its leader finally ran completely amok.

image Barack Obama: July 2--Colorado Springs:

"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set," he said. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."

Obama said that he wants to "integrate civilian and military capabilities to promote global democracy and development."  This would include the creation of "Mobile Development Teams (MDTs) that bring together personnel from the military, the Pentagon, the State Department and USAID, fully integrating U.S. government efforts in counter-terror, state-building, and post-conflict operations."

As well, he would also "establish an expeditionary capability" for non-Pentagon agencies, including the departments of State, Homeland Security, Justice and Treasury.

There's much more... it's all been done before.

Symbols are not cymbals

Well that didn't take long... yesterday I wrote about Barry Obama's pre-victory lap to open soon in Germany: "Stay tuned to gaffes-a-plenty mixed with overriding and crushing boredom."

reagan101207 Stay with me...

On the 40th anniversary of VE Day, President Reagan participated in several symbolic ceremonies in Germany. One of them was a visit to a small German military cemetery near Bitburg.

Poor advance planning missed the fact that 49 graves held remains of the infamous Waffen SS. The critical mistake was discovered after the President's itinerary was announced here and in Germany.

Reagan took a beating before and after he made the visit to the cemetery from WWII vets, Holocaust survivors and especially almost all democrat senators who formally requested him not to visit Bitburg.

imageIt was a very bad mistake first by German Chancellor Helmut Kohl for not even knowing dead SS were interred there, and then by Reagan's men who didn't check and double-check such a sensitive venue.

Further research indicated the most of the SS troopers were only 18-20 and had been drafted into the unit in the later stages of the war.

That added to Reagan's resolve to visit to Bitburg.

Obama is history-deficient:

We now have a parallel kerfuffel caused by a snot-nosed, wet-behind-the-big-ears, junior senator who is using a  European/Middle East grand promenade in an attempt to garner some faux international prestige and stature.

It's what small men do when they lack substance... just posture as if they have it in spades, but then need symbols.

imageStiffed in his attempt to mimic Reagan and Jack Kennedy by using the Brandenburg Gate as a prop, he's opted to speak to expected huge  crowds beneath The Siegessäule-- The Victory Column--in Berlin.

The towering  700-foot monument to a tribute Prussia's military dominance and victories in wars against Denmark, Austria and France in the 19th century.

Originally located in front of the Reichstag, Germany's parliament building, it was moved by Adolf Hitler to its current location in 1939 to make way for his planned transformation of Berlin into the Nazi capital "Germania."

Hitler knew very well the power of the such a national symbol... and he co-opted it for his genocidal cause, as it played very well into the Nazi belief in Aryan superiority.

image The Siegessäule is hardly an appropriate backdrop for an American politician, and is directly at odds with Obama's canned speech about "hope and change".

Many Germans are concerned; one member of parliament said, "the Siegessäule is dedicated to victory over neighbors who are today our European friends and allies. It is a problematic symbol."

Where are the leftist press' Reagan-Bitburg howls this time?

But GA, isn't Reagan's mistake worse...?

No; for these reasons:

Kohl had asked Reagan to visit a German military cemetery and Reagan agreed that it would demonstrate the strength of the friendship that existed between Germany and its former foe.

image Reagan wanted to publicly acknowledge Kohl's support the US placing Pershing-missiles in West German which countered the Soviet missile threat to Western Europe. Kohl had been steadfast in the face of great public and political in his country.

Reagan was the leader of the free world and in that role had to play three-dimensional world politics... how would Israel react? What would the Soviets (who suffered greatly at the hands of Hitler and the SS) do with such a propaganda windfall?

Would the error have lasting negative impact on America's interests?

In contrast Obama is a callow opportunist who represents nothing and speaks for no one; he is devoid of world-level political relationships.

He is merely obvious and ignorant, and Europe is watching.

Obama, Lesbos and... and "why so serious?"

image

The Savior of All Mankind Tour now underway... let the fawning begin.

Our Messiah (sans The Amazon) is now off playing world leader where every leader he meets will will have far more experience, political savvy and insight than this political poseur.

And all of them will probably speak more than their native language....

Merci beaucoup?

How embarrassing... Shouldn't he be home tutoring his daughters in Spanish?

Stay tuned to gaffes-a-plenty mixed with overriding and crushing boredom.

Obama World Tour T-Shirt Courtesy of Michelle Malkin.

The National Organization of (Ugly) Women...

... attended some nut-roots convention in Austin last week and ballyhooed their presence by proclaiming:

No Capes, No Masks, No Boundaries:
Feminist Super-Women Unite!

image Apparently, this is a junior high attempt to portray womyn as not equals but superior to men in every way; and, it's a not so subtle rip on "Dark Knight"...  a good guys' movie-- the the latest in the Batman franchise.

Some press release highlights:

"We need not be superhuman heroes who fly or dodge bullets -- our pride, passion and resilience make us extraordinary. (My coaches always told me that if you keep insisting to you're the greatest, you ain't.)

Here are some of NOW's superior-because-they-are-female heroes heroines:

Barbara Hillary-- first black women to go to the North Pole (and at 75 years old).  Okayyyy????

Lilly Ledbetter -- "she spoke out against wage discrimination, igniting a fierce battle that reached the U.S. Supreme Court and the halls of Congress."

Wow... what an accomplishment; NOW doesn't mention what happened as a result.

image Jehmu Green -- "used her legendary organizing skills to take Rock the Vote membership from 1500 to over one million during her tenure as president.

Double-wow... only the slacker numbskulls who watch MTV would have been slightly aware of this. But, here's the rub... the youth vote (18-24) targeted by Green is by far the lowest voter turnout (2000-2004) at 36%; the voter turn out for all ages was 61%.

She was apparently responsible for this dumbass' perplexing encouragement of democratic principles.

imageSuper.

Here are more current NOW "super heroes": Donna Edwards, Patricia Ireland, Nancy Redd, Irshad Manji, Marie Cocco, and Dr. Erika Falk.

Except for Ireland (a NOW prez) as anyone ever heard of a single one of them? Didn't think so.

Readers are welcome to send me the names women who are truly making a difference in the community, state, nation through their intelligence, hard work, dedication, service and sacrifice instead of bitching about a "glass ceiling", blaming men, and cheering the murder of children in the womb.

And finally in NOW Lesbian news (this is funny):

Dimitris Lambrou, is suing, the Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece because of 'insults the identity' of people on Lesbos, known as Lesbians. "Our geographical designation has been usurped by certain ladies," he said.

imageHey... they ain't no ladies.

Understandably, Dimitris wants them to find a new name.

With great conviction, he said he and his wife and daughter "are Lesbians." It's a matter of geography and not sexual orientation.

LM31 welcomes CLEAVER (not vile) new names for the gals with chains attaching their truckers wallets to their belts.

Do as we say... not as we do

I'd venture to say that the modern day Air Force comes in for more inter-service jibes, jokes and criticism than any other branch.

Zoomies have a rep for being a more militarily "relaxed" than their sister services, cleaner and perhaps less physical and more refined as a group.

No long ago they had that little problem of a B-52 flying around with six nukes that the crew wasn't aware of; as the top AF four-stars and SecAF were summarily sacked by SecDef Gates.

PH2008071703168And this doesn't help the image of the Boys in Blue:

What you're looking at is a "luxury pod" which is designed to provide AF brass with rock-star accommodations when flying here and there.

These "comfort units" are to ensure that leaders can talk, work and rest comfortably in the air. Uh-huh.... Air Farce top brass demanded that the self-contained units be "aesthetically pleasing and furnished to reflect the rank of the senior leaders using the capsule," with beds, a couch, a table, a 37-inch flat-screen monitor with stereo speakers, and a full-length mirror.

Somehow, the mirror bothers me the most; oh, and by the way... the Air Force is fighting to use "counter-terrorism" funds to pay for the $7-16 million price tag.

The WaPo has more details.

By contrast, 24th MEU Marines (left) were forced to relocate their "comfort pods" in Afghanistan recently due to the slight inconvenience of incoming Taliban rockets.

A Mind is a terrible thing when it's wasted:

The Gore family must be in seclusion after learning that the former vice president has had a psychotic break during an speech the other day. The poor man insisted that the US could "end its dependence on carbon-based fuels and replace every kilowatt of electricity in the country through wind, sun and other Earth-friendly energy sources within the next 10 years.

The drive-by news media continues its MessiahFest, being absolutely giddy over the fact the Obamanation spent "188 minutes in the gym yesterday – making three separate stops to Chicago gyms over the course of one day."

And they ridiculed Bush for crashing his mountain bike and going on "vacations".....

With all the athletic ability I'm shocked... shocked I tell you, that he never served a day in the military.

No. 2 on The Obama Watch:

From his pandering speech to his amigos in the National Council of La Raza (The Race):

“The system isn’t working when 12 million people live in hiding, and hundreds of thousands cross our borders illegally each year; when communities are terrorized by ICE immigration raids, when nursing mothers are torn from their babies; when children come home from school to find their parents missing; when people are detained without access to legal counsel.”

Presumably his remarks were delivered in English.

Looks like the Krauts bitch slapped His Holiness after he informed them he would be speaking at the Brandenburg Gate during his little international tour designed to show how presidential he is.

Reejeected.... ain't happenin'.

Nien! Du bist nicht! (or thereabouts).

Yo, Barry... that sorta thing isn't for callow, deficient candidates, you have to earn that spot after accomplishing something major, and after you've been elected president.

You may recall that he cited all his superior foreign policy experience with the following:

Obama: "[M]y experience in foreign policy is probably more diverse than most others in the field. ... You know, I majored in international relations." (ABC's "Good Morning America," 1/24/07)

But... his official MySpace page lists his major as "Political Science." (MySpace Website, http://www.myspace.com, Accessed 4/10/08)

And just to reassure you that the Associated Press is maintaining its reputation as an objective news source:

McCain gets Social Security but criticizes system

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Although Republican presidential candidate John McCain has called Social Security "a disgrace," he still cashes his own retirement check every month.

McCain's 2007 tax return shows Social Security benefits of $23,157 for the year, an average of $1,929.75 a month. He said he started receiving the payments "whenever I was eligible."
