Impressions of last night:
First the obligatory... Sarah Palin showed remarkable poise for a "small time", rookie politician in a situation must feel to her like a great wind had just propelled her from Kansas into full on MGM Technicolor.
The speech itself was written by Mathew Scully, former scribe for Dan Quayle and George Bush, and was extremely well crafted, but it would have gone for naught if Palin had not make it her own.
Don't get me wrong, despite all the hoopla it wasn't perfect, but more importantly it was the kind of speech Republicans have wanted and waited to hear since Reagan left town.
That's a long time.
Sarah Palin's place on the national stage last night was not so much a victory for women as it was a victory for the real American... those of us who live in small towns and moderate cities such as Sherman Texas, Greeley Colorado and Wasilla Alaska.
We haven't heard one of us talking to us from that stage in... forever. Turns out, it is we, "we've been waiting for."
Richard Nixon called us the "Silent Majority"... people who are republicans and democrats, independent and libertarians who have our basic conservative values in common.
The famous color map of the 2000 election... remembered by most as the "red state-blue state map" was really the red county-blue county state. In other words, once a U.S. city center reaches a certain population, it turns blue.
So if you look closely at the counties in the map, it is clear that 75% of the country is populated by conservative, hard working, of good Americans clinging to their guns and Bibles.
Since the post-WWII (with few exceptions) we--Real America-- has been taken for granted, ignored (except at election time) patronized, put off, ridiculed behind our collective back and taxed to near the breaking point... by both parties; but 25% of the country... leftists, fifth-columnists, degenerates and enviro-terrorists... who live in the insane asylums we call "metropolitan areas"... despise us.
This is, and long has been, one enormous "wag the dog", with the leftists consolidating and gaining more and more political and judicial power, literally taken our country from us, in a colossal abuse of majority rule which we have allowed to occur.
They started taking our guns in earnest in 1968... we did nothing.
They bused our children 50 miles and 60 minutes to achieve "racial harmony" and "equality" in public school.... no mater what white, black and brown parents preferred, which is control of their own neighborhood school.
In the name of "individual rights" the federal government kidnapped our children; we meekly put our kids on the buses and did nothing.
Government schools began brain washing our children with socialist thought in the 1960s... we did nothing. Soon followed sex indoctrination in schools, complete with condoms, abortion referrals, teaching to the test, "new" math, emphasizing societal aberrations such as feminism, while cutting from American history most contributions by "dead white guys" such as our Founding Fathers.
Susan B. Anthony and her 15 minutes of fame were forced down our throats and onto a U.S. coin while public schools named for Thomas Jefferson were changed to pander to diversities.
Once great cities like San Francisco has been reduced to nothing more than havens for perverts, beggars, deviants and wetbacks. Pedophiles are welcome, the Marine Corps is not.
Minorities riot, loot, rape and murder in our major cities, and we do nothing.
Vast organized crime syndicates run by warring racial minorities control hundreds of square miles of our major cities, praying on the weak and helpless, addicting our children to soul-robbing drugs and subjecting them to the horrors of gang life.
And we do nothing.
We have been invaded by a foreign army that threatens to undermine the real America... the small towns and rural communities which simply cannot bear the increased financial burden of wetbacks. Such towns are beginning to crumble before the eyes of those who built and lovingly maintained and protected those communities for more than 100 years.
And worse than doing nothing... our political leaders have refused to protect us, saying, mi casa es su casa.
Like a mentally impaired giant the real America, middle America, we have allowed Real America to be abused, taunted and ridiculed, seemingly dulled and unaware that we hold the power... all the cards, if we would only get off our dead asses and take control.
We can beat City Hall as well as Congress and the Oval office, if we just begin defending ourselves and the basic tenants of real America.
This is a battle between Manhattan New York and Manhattan Kansas.
This is the culture war I've wanted since the end of the 1960s. It is a war we can and must win.
The public's tremendous response to the Palin speech proved that she tapped into Real America's main arteries; it can serve as a clarion call to restore this nation to the rightful balance purchased for us by the Greatest Generation, but only if we join this fight now and drive the barbarians from our gates.

Like you and Uncle Sam, I've rolled up my sleeves and I'm ready to fight for my country!
Fight I will, starting with this:
I'll work hard and EARN my pay, unlike the celebrity gods and goddesses (Nick and Jessica, Paris Hilton and the like).
I'll teach my kids to be honest, kind, respectful and obedient. I'll do this by SHOWING them those qualities in myself.
I'll love my wife and ONLY my wife. She'll be blessed by that as will our kids. It will also tick off the folks who seem to think that marriage is irrelevant.
I'll read my Bible and apply its truths to my life, again being an example to my family, my neighborhood and my social circles.
All of these tactics and plenty more which are up my rolled-up sleeve, are in direct contrast to the folks you spoke of in your article. Should cause quite a stir. . . Your in the fight for OUR Country,
