Yes, it is great fun to see liberals calling each other "racists!", and then apologizing to each other for even suggesting Barry Obama is black.

Ferraro was right... if Obama was a goofy-looking white guy with big ears... he'd be Alfred E. Newman... but besides that, he certainly wouldn't be in the position he is.

She was only stating the obvious, but the hard left and the white guilt-besotted MSM who have consumed mass quantities of Obama-Aid... adhere to a "hands off" edict regarding their boy.

Somehow, blacks seems to have the idea that they control society's language; insist we cannot use Obama's middle name, we can't even use the term "you people" when referring to black folks. Odd... when I was in boot camp all my drill instructors--black and the sole white guy--when they weren't calling us worse things, opted for "you people"; as in, "You people were sent here by Communists to f**k up my Marine Corps."    

Used to be "black" and now its the idiotic "African-American"... ironically, Obama, is one of the very few black folks in the U.S. who can accurately claim that nom de race.  Frankly, I went through the Negro-to-Black-to-Afro-American-to-Black-to-African-American, and I stopped being ordered around decades ago.

You people are Black... get over it.

Mitt Romney, in addition to not running a very good campaign, was under cut by the left news media from the get-go as it focusing inordinately on his religion. He became the "Mormon Candidate" and thus... toast.

Meanwhile, we're only just now learning about Obama's racist (pardon me... "Afro-centric") church and the racist, Farrakhan butt-kissing, anti-American, vulgar SOB who has been the Obama family's pastor for 20 years, and who married Barry and The Amazon, and baptized their children.

Thanks to the internet we have the video tape of Trinity United Church of Christ pastor, Rev. "Dr." Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., repeatedly cursing America from the pulpit, "God damn the United States!" He's been doing so for decades and the Obamedia just can't seem to find a story in that.

Other highlights:

• Last December Wright gave Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan an award from the church, calling him one of the giants of the African-American religious experience in the 20th and 21st centuries.
• Giant? Giant horse's ass, is more like it. Farrakhan's hate-filled statements have attacked Jews, whites, America, and homosexuals. He has called whites “blue-eyed devils” and the “anti-Christ.” He has described Jews as “bloodsuckers” who control the government, the media, and some black organizations.
• “Do you know some of these satanic Jews have taken over BET [the Black Entertainment Network]?” he has said. 

Yet where is Obama on all this and why hasn't he resigned his Trinity United membership ? Better yet, why hasn't the MSM asked him that question?

Wadeaminute... it's beginning to trickle in from CNN that Wright is stepping down from the pulpit over this controversy.  The Obama campaign finally has something to say: “Sen. Obama has said before that he profoundly disagrees with some of the statements and positions of Rev. Wright… Sen. Obama deplores divisive statements, whether they come from his supporters, the supporters of his opponent, talk radio or anywhere else.’’

You catch the White Whipping Boy statement about "talk radio"?

Anyway, good for Geri for taking one for the white team, reclaiming the language and telling it like it is.

Texas Woman Earns Silver Star in Afghan War

CAMP SALERNO, Afghanistan (AP) — A 19-year-old medic from Texas has become only the second female soldier since World War II to receive the Silver Star, the nation's third-highest medal for valor.

Army Spc. Monica Lin Brown saved the lives of fellow soldiers after a roadside bomb tore through a convoy of Humvees in the Afghanistan's eastern Paktia Province in April 2007.

After the explosion, which wounded five soldiers in her unit, Brown ran through insurgent gunfire and used her body to shield wounded comrades as mortars fell less than 100 yards away, the military said.

The military said Brown's "bravery, unselfish actions and medical aid rendered under fire saved the lives of her comrades and represents the finest traditions of heroism in combat."

After insurgents hit the convoy with a barrage of fire from machine guns, AK-47 assault rifles and rocket-propelled grenades, Hester "maneuvered her team through the kill zone into a flanking position where she assaulted a trench line with grenades and M203 rounds," according to the Army citation accompanying the Silver Star.

The First Since WWII

Three years ago Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester fought her way through an enemy ambush south of Baghdad, killing three insurgents with her M-4 rifle to save fellow soldiers' lives -- and became the first woman since World War II to earn the Silver Star.

The 23-year-old retail store manager from Bowling Green, Ky., won the award for skillfully leading her team of military police soldiers in a counterattack after about 50 insurgents ambushed a supply convoy they were guarding near Salman Pak.

According to her citation, "She then cleared two trenches with her squad leader where she engaged and eliminated three AIF [anti-Iraqi forces] with her M4 rifle. Her actions saved the lives of numerous convoy members."

A female driver with the unit, Spec. Ashley J. Pullen of Danville, Ky., received the Bronze Star w/V device. Her citation noted that she laid down fire to suppress insurgents and then "exposed herself to heavy AIF fires in order to provide medical assistance to her critically injured comrades," saving several lives.

Staff Sgt. Timothy F. Nein, Hester's squad leader, was also awarded the Silver Star; 27 insurgents were killed dead, six wounded and one captured.

The Bronze Star Medal is awarded to any person who "...distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, not involving participation in aerial flight, while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States, or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party." The Bronze Star was added to the military's decorations on 4 February (retroactive to 7 December, 1941) at the suggestion of a colonel who advocated a decoration that could be awarded by captains of companies or gun batteries. It is roughly the equivalent of the Air Medal which predates the Bronze Star by two years.

When the Bronze Star is awarded for heroism as distinguished from meritorious achievement, a miniature bronze letter "V" (for valor) is worn on the suspension and service ribbon. One of the first women to receive The Bronze Star was 1Lt Cordelia E. Cook, Army Nurse Corps, during WWII in Italy. Lt Cook was also awarded The Purple Heart.

There is no official list of Bronze Stars Recipients owning to the large number awarded in its near seven-decade history, but here's a list of female service members who have been awarded valor medals.

President Kennedy expanded the authorization pf the Bronze Star to include those serving with friendly forces such as the Green Berets who served as advisors to the South Vietnamese Army in the early days of the Vietnam War.

Army Col. Ruby Bradley is the most highly decorated servicewoman in history; she served almost 30 years and was awarded 34 medals and citations of bravery, including two Legion of Merit medals, two Bronze stars, two Presidential Emblems, POW Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the U.N. Service Medal.

Taken prisoner by invading Japs in the Philippines, she smuggled food, supplies and surgical equipment which she used while assisting in 230 operations and the delivery of 13 children.   

When liberated after three years, she weighed 80 pounds.

She narrowly avoided being killed or captured in Korea, and was also the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Medal, the Red Cross' highest international honor.

She is buried in Arlington.

When Algore tried to stop the counting of thousands of votes by members of the military serving overseas in the 200 election, the average democrat had no problem with such an outrage; and when it was clear to even Algore than Bush had won the necessary electoral votes, the cry went up that whomever won the poplar vote should be president (the Constitution be damned).

But now... the slimy replicants want it exactly the opposite: Pennsylvania Governor and Clinton supporter Ed Rendell says "Hillary Clinton has won states with about 260 electoral votes, Barack Obama has won states with about 190, and we decide the presidency not by a popular vote, we decide it by the electoral vote."

You can't make this stuff up.

Scientists and environmentalists in the UK have attacked a global campaign to ban plastic bags which they say is based on flawed science and exaggerated claims.

The widely stated accusation that the bags kill 100,000 animals and a million seabirds every year are false, experts have told The Times. They pose only a minimal threat to most marine species, including seals, whales, dolphins and seabirds.

"Gordon Brown announced last month that he would force supermarkets to charge for the bags, saying that they were “one of the most visible symbols of environmental waste”. Retailers and some pressure groups, including the Campaign to Protect Rural England, threw their support behind him.

"But scientists, politicians and marine experts attacked the Government for joining a 'bandwagon' based on poor science."

Far as I'm concerned, everyone needs to stop bitching about the price of gasoline until we stop electing pork-barrel/special interest/enviro-whackjobs to federal and sate government office.   

Note the above contains no reference to party.

How can anyone who owns an internal combustion engine grind on and on about the cost of regular unleaded when his or her Congressman is in bed with the Sierra Club, PETA, Green Peace and all the other commie-front stooges and consistently votes to raise our taxes across the board?

Go directly to answer: "they can't". 

• The Federal Gas Tax is 18.4 cents/pg.
• Here in Texas is 20 cents; New York--41 cents; Pennsylvania--32.2 and and Wisconsin--32.9 cents; the national average looks to be in the 25-cent area.
• Overcome with common sense, Alaska tacks on only 8 cents.

And let us not forget diesel which is often taxed higher than gasoline at the federal and state levels. You don't have a diesel? Think again... everything you receive/purchase/win/eat/wear or inherited is brought to you by a truck... an invariably diesel-powered truck.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention one... more... time... the ethanol scam which works like a pre-tax on fuel. Not only does it raise the price of gasoline, it raises the price of every agricultural commodity in your home.

This pathetic, whimpering nation hasn't brought a nuke plant on line since 1996... and with no plans for more. For comparison, France gets 80 percent of its electrical power from 59 plants while Europe as a whole almost doubles the number of U.S. plants with 197.

And don't be a fool... the eviro-whack jobs don't want any "alternative" sources of power; they oppose anything alternative proposed. They want us living in small villages, planting tubers and harvesting free-range tofu. 

The U.S. has 104 nuclear power plants which produce a measly 20-percent of our electricity despite the fact that it is the cleanest and most efficient source of power.

Future archaeologists will dig down to us and marvel... what cataclysmic event occurred to end such an advanced civilization when it had at it's disposal any number of proven methods for safe and clean power.

The people just seem to have frozen in place while searching for change in the pockets of their thread-bare trousers.

He added that it was "wee bit silly" for her to exaggerate her by-stander role. Details.

Negotiators that helped broker the agreement in 1998 insist her role was peripheral and that she played no part in the talks over the years.

Why doesn't this huge international embarrassment sink her candidacy in one blow? (After all, it's worse than Algore claiming he invented the internet.) 

.... it's because 30-40 percent of the voting public is stupid enough to support her.
