The ObamaNation

I know.... you're tired of it; me too.

But there's more here than meets the eye... let's peel the onion a bit.

As faithful LM31 readers know, I don't listen to politicians speeches in real time... especially those I'm told are "important"; which usually means a snow job is bearing down on you.

Let's cut The Messiah's little chat today into pieces:

It was the personification of the old line about accountants and their "on one hand... but then on the other" view of life. First, His Holiness condemned the recent racist, anti-American diatribe of his "former" pastor, Bigot Emeritus, Jeremiah Wright, and then vowed to stand by him:

"I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe."

So in the same paragraph, Obama throws his "white" grandma under the bus, insisting that she was the moral equivalent of the racist Wright who "Goddamned" America and preaches that his flock's allegiance should be the the mythical "Motherland of Africa". (Note to blacks: pledging allegiance to "Africa" is like a Columbian pledging allegiance to South America.

Wright's "Afro-centric" bigotry is no different than Adolph Hitler's praise of "Aryan purity".   

Obama still has not answered any questions about his slavish devotion to Wright ("he is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with")... today he simply enlarged the issue to how He and only He can leads us into the Promised Land of a "post-racial" America. And in so doing, he failed to address anything having to do with Wrightgate.

Obama is a false prophet... for whites as well as blacks. He preaches and promises unity... as long a you "unite" with him.

What he means is, white folk.... keep yer mouth shut about race or he'll treat you like his grandma.

The praise for the speech from the left is as expected... this dose of Obama's empty phrases have been compared to MLK's "I Have a Dream..." and before he even uttered a teleprompter-assisted word, (and this is really outrageous) the some former Senate back-bencher name Harris Wofford compared him to Lincoln.

"Originals of this kind don't come along often -- maybe once every few generations. They come when they are needed most. And when I heard Barack Obama speak at the Democratic Convention in 2004, I saw him as such an original."

"The Big O"... Oprah Winfrey abandoned Wright's church several years ago because of his outrageous and racist bigotry.

How is it that a TV flap jaw can dissociate herself from a anti-American race hustler and Obama... the man who knows all, and wants those 3 a.m. phone calls... won't?

Hell.. .she's even gone to ground. No reason to risk her billion-dollar brand on some half white guy who is trying everything he can to prove he's really black.

Obama has laid claim to the one who will lead us to a "post-racial" society. Exactly how can he do that when he raises his children in a church that preaches hatred for America and white people? In fact...it's abundantly clear that he is just a half-white boy who  grew up in Hawaii, attended all the best schools and went by "Barry" was totally lacking in black "street cred".

He joined Wright's church for that exact reason.

Ironically, Obama rose on rhetoric and he may fall on rhetoric... that of the Rev. Wright.
