I know I’ve hit the point previously, but while finishing my BA at good ole Fresno State, Watergate was the daily news constant for more than a year; a president was obviously listing dangerously and the lessons of abuse of power were laid bare.
And yet…. a full reading of the day’s Watergate disclosures could be read, absorbed and more or less committed to memory over my morning coffee and bagel.
Ahh, the good old days.
Now retired and with plenty of time to amuse and annoy via this blog, the pending destruction of our Republic runs so deep, is so Machiavellian and so potentially catastrophic that it makes Watergate look like a family squabble.
The following took me only about 20 minutes to scan these updates from the web:
In what has has been called a “seismic shift” in the relationship between the private sector and the federal government, Obama’s fascist henchman and “pay czar” will slash the annual salaries of 25 top executives by an average of around 90 percent from 2008 levels.
An “average“ of 90%; who in their right mind would work any job for 10% of what he earned a year ago? That’s right… the idea is to get rid of businessmen and replace them with lower level kommissars.
Let that sink in…. in a move worthy of Mussolini's Italy, the government thugs now have the ability to financially ruin Americans in the top income bracket, powerful, connected, smart, wealthy businesspeople and drive them from their life’s work..
So, where does that leave you when the kommissars knock on your office door?
Oh, it wouldn’t affect you or your business?
Have you forgotten about the fascist move to unionize every business in America? Refresh your memory here: "Card Check" …
And it also leaves you here:
Feb. 6, 2009--Congress will consider legislation to extend some of the curbs on executive pay that now apply only to those banks receiving federal assistance, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank said.
He said the compensation restrictions would apply to all financial institutions and might be extended to include all U.S. companies.
Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner said he would consider “extending at least some of the TARP provisions and features of the $500,000 cap to U.S. companies generally.”
And to think our ancestors began a revolution against an oppressive government because of a pittance tax on their morning tea.
In the guise of “help”, fascists extend a hand, then place it around your throat.
Lie: Seven months ago Obama claimed his stimulus bill would create 3.5 million jobs.
Truth: A total of 2.7 million Americans have instead, lost their jobs–a net difference of 6.2 million jobs.
Only North Dakota has seen net job creation following the February 2009 stimulus and I’ll guarantee you that had far more to do with gambling casinos than Obamamoney.
Common tread, common threat
Under fascism there are no coincidences.
“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.” – Rahm Emanuel, Chief of Staff
Our economy is circling the drain, not because of an incompetent president’s machinations, but because it is intentional.
If there are no crises of suitable size, fascists create them.
The swine flu hysteria is a current example.
Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Almost 90 percent of 292 deaths related to swine flu in the U.S. since Sept. 1 were in people younger than age 65, contrary to the pattern for seasonal flu.
“Last spring, in May and June, the swine flu numbers were huge,” said Melissa Stockwell, a pediatrician at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. “This year there hasn’t been much so far.
The Centers for Disease Control estimate that about 36,000 people died of seasonal flu-related causes each year, on average, during the 1990s in the United States. That places the flu (all variations) in the neighborhood of septicemia, an infection of the blood, at 34,234, or 1.4 percent of all deaths.
But please feel free to go ahead an panic and support for Obamacare… and don’t think that connection won’t be made by Barry and his minions before Thanksgiving.
Like Rush said the other day, “Screw you, Kathy.”
YLSIL: Oh, here we go again… politics is one thing, GA, but this is life and death; it borders on the outrageous that you’re against swine flu vaccine.
GA: I’m not against the vaccine. I’m saying the Obama government is ginning up this “crisis” because for the hysterics such as yourself, the “Towering Swine Flu from Beyond the Stars” makes a convenient fellow traveler when pushing ObamaCare.
And here’s why: If you've been diagnosed "probable" or "presumed" in recent months, you may be surprised to know this: odds are you didn’t have H1N1 flu. In fact, you probably didn’t have flu at all. Read here.
I always get the flu vaccination, but here it is Oct. 22 and I haven’t gotten it.
“Why”, you may ask.
Well, you see, I have the “government option”, single-payer health insurance from the Veterans Administration…. they don’t have the vaccine yet.
And what about “The Big C” as The Duke called it?
Well, out of the blue, a few days ago… American Cancer Society is reconsidering its screening guidelines for breast and prostate cancer.
The idea that screening saves lives is not as simple as it sounds, and the advantages of screening for especially breast and prostate, have been "exaggerated," said Dr. Otis Brawley, chief medical officer at the American Cancer Society.
"I and the American Cancer Society are not against screening, but we're for men knowing that there are some questions here as to whether screening is effective and then making a decision that they are comfortable with."
Humm… after decades of ribbons and runs and pink NFL cleats, brave first-person survival stories and sad “too late to be treated” accounts, the Cancer Society gives us Emily Litella… “Never mind.”
Let Them Eat Cake
Meanwhile in the face of all this, in the Versailles Palace formerly known as “The Peoples’ House”, Her Highness and El Duce preside over extravagant weekly parties… and the musical entertainment line up looks like Jim Crow in reverse.
“They want to replicate the same kind of environment they had in Chicago,” said a longtime friend of the Obamas.
That’s exactly what I’ve been saying, 1600 Pennsylvania is Mayor Daley’s Chicago on steroids.
Bon appetite!
