You can always tell… just look for the union label

A handful of my early adult years were wasted in an intellectual dalliance with my own odd version of “liberalism”; equal parts of anger at Washington D.C. as it turned its back on Vietnam, my own (mal)adjustment to life as a civilian, and a feeling of being abandoned by the very generation on whose values I’d based my life.

I roughly summed it up this way: “I’m not a hippie, I’m a long-hair; a hippie won’t kick your ass.”

And with the emergence of Reagan—as true a conservative leader as we’ve had in the last 100 years—I returned to a meaningful political philosophy laid on a foundation of action… not reaction to the world around me.

What followed has been some 35 years of study and research.

This self-education, which has served me far better than the one I obtained in my undergrad and grad school years; virtually everything I’ve come to believe has been repeatedly  confirmed.

I am both enraged and deeply saddened.

Just spend an hour or two looking at what is happening to you community… your state, your nation after more than 50 years of primarily leftwing/democrat governance.    

In fact, you don’t even need that much time… just look at Madison Wisconsin, long a hotbed of state-supported on-campus, radical left-wing training and deadly terrorism.

In the beginning:

On display now is Real America fighting back the against the combined forces of a political-union-state-run news media- government cabal intent on bringing this nation to its knees.

Everything real conservatives have warned about for decades is upon us; it began with the slow take-over of our schools by the left and was accelerated by 1960s programs like “Head Start” which essentially rushed babies into government indoctrination centers at age three… the edu-speak term is “pre-k”.

How wonderful, our most precious beings, our hope and future turned over to the state before a child knows his parents aren’t named “mommy” and “daddy”.

Like building with Legos, the socialists grabbed the children by developing a government-run and paid-for program disguised as “educational”; they sweetened the pot with food; first, free breakfast, then free lunch, and now in some states a a “free” dinner has been added.

There are some school districts which provide free meals during the summer.  

The result of such base-line, brain-washing programs is that children spend more time with government agents that they do with family, especially parents; who has more of a relationship with them? Worse, who has more influence and control?

This is happening; it is purposeful, well-organized and funded, committed, national and international. It is and will continue to be violent, and eventually deadly.

Look to Madison.

One product of at least eight years of programming, Madison schools-style said, "I guess we're protesting...’cause the dude (Gov. Walker) won’t do what he’s supposed to."

• Last week, nearly 800 Madison East High School students — half the school — walked out to participate in a demonstration at the state Capitol.
• Students at West, Memorial and at other schools around the state also participated in demonstrations during school hours.
• The next day Madison canceled school after about 1,100 union teachers — almost half of its staff — called in sick.

These little heads full of mush are not being educated, but believe me, they are being schooled in how to become the most useful type of socialist “useful idiot”… under-age, under-educated, unaware and un-American.

This education community organizing has spread through the country, infecting our children, our towns an cities by the cancer…teachers’ unions.

 

Yesterday, just 70 miles from my keyboard:

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – A bake sale in an Arlington neighborhood started as a classroom assignment. Third graders at Duff Elementary School in Arlington were asked to identify a problem and map out a solution. (emphasis-ed.)

Eight-year-old Brianna Hicks said, “We are doing cookies against cuts.” The girls knew their teacher Traci Seibold, who is in her first year with the district, could lose her job.

“We’re trying to save her against the next budget cut,” Brianna said.

Seibold wanted her students to learn about community involvement, but she never dreamed they would try to help her.

Uh-huh.

This cynical, despicable “class project” forced on students who still collect Barbies, aided by some parents, succeeded in lifting $1,300 from little kids and area residents as the word spread over social(ist) media.

Miss Traci, you can brainwash eight, nine-year-old kids all day with ease, but don’t piss down my boot and tell me it’s raining.

How did this young American woman get to this point so early in her career?

Easy… she was in an American third grade classroom 12 years ago.

This then is the base, the cannon fodder (“it’s for the children”) which is the point of union propaganda spear and they use it.

The unions control education, and are in unholy alliance with the democrat party, and unionized federal government workers.

The education and federal employees unions give hundreds of millions to democrats who in turn enact laws and programs which funnel taxpayer money back to the unions.

This has nothing to do with schools, children, even education… it has to do with naked power.

Look to Madison.

A cameo of how this finely-tuned cabal works is the “Flee-baggers” —the dozen or so Wisconsin democrat legislators who fled the state rather than honor their oath of office, form a quorum and vote on the bills eliminating collective bargaining for some public employees.

Using unlimited funds, Obamas’ “Organizing for America” is working feverishly behind the scenes at grass roots level:

(Politico)- The Democratic National Committee’s “Organizing for America” (OFA) arm — the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign — is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.

Organizing for America is already coordinating protests against proposed reforms in Ohio, Michigan and Missouri.

Community Organizer-in-Chief and SEIU spokesman Barry Soetoro, said within the first 24 hours of civil unrest in Madison:

“Some of what I’ve heard coming out of Wisconsin, where you’re just making it harder for public employees to collectively bargain, generally seems like more of an assault on unions. I think it's very important for us to understand that public employees, they're our neighbors, they're our friends.” -- Obama interview with Milwaukee’s WTMJ

Where exactly did Barry come from?… he more or less invented or created by all these radical-left forces so that in his first year or two of college, his handlers knew he was headed in the “right” direction:

“I chose my friends carefully.The more politically active black students.The foreign students.The Chicanos.The Marxist Professors and the structural feminists….” –---“Dreams From My Father” – Barack Obama

Notice he did not say, history professors, or sociology, English, literature or economics professors… he said “Marxist professors”.

Perhaps he thought it redundant.

Obama is the culmination of the Bolshevik Revolution and almost 100 years of hard, dedicated work by the radical American left-wing.  

Meanwhile the socialist controlled news media is in full propaganda mode, refusing to carry the kinds of images and comments you are able to see and read here and elsewhere on the WWW.

The only thing that stands between us and oblivion is us… the fight is local now and decidedly not an intellectual exercise on geo-politics; it’s in the trenches, it’s coming to your town, and soon.

While it would have been a great emotional boost if Hoffman has pulled it out last night in NY-23, his loss to a left-wing incumbent by only 5 percent means that given six months to campaign—not 30 days—and even minimal support of the GOP, he would have won.

Republicans should remember this race for the object lesson it is.

The true colors of the republican party were in full array: “conservatives be damned, we’ll lay down with anyone—even a pro-abortion, pro-ObamaCare left-winger if we think it best for the party.”

That’s right…. today’s GOP leadership does not care about America nearly as much as it does the Republican Party.

• Former conservative Newt Gingrich endorsed Scozzafave and criticized those who welcomed Hoffman’s candidacy.
• The GOP spent $1 million for ads attacked Hoffman

This should not be forgotten by anyone who has pulled a lever for a Republican.

Last tear the GOP allowed itself to be brainwashed once again to nominate the "so-called “moderate”—John “Maverick” McCain… well, how’s that workin’ out for us now?

The next time you get a GOP begging-for-dollars appeal in the mail, just write “Scozzafave” on the damned thing and send it back.

 Officials with knowledge of the group's decision told The Associate Press on Wednesday that the senior's lobby has decided to give the $1.2 trillion measure its seal of approval. An announcement is expected Thursday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement has not been made.

I missed it because I almost never watch “network” news… but ABC aired “V” last night…. a full-on sci-fi indictment of the Obama take over of the United States.

The Real America in Real America

I’m dispensing with my usual meat and potatoes posts today… I figure that what with Obama thinking he’s the King of the World who has forfeited the rest of America’s season to our enemies… with Iran working on two nukes… not the zero nukes the dimocrats have insisted there are, and OBL is demanding that Europe withdraw its pitifully small number of troops from Afghanistan, and Kadafi claiming paternity of Barry (not a stretch considering Barry’s old lady)… terror squads being busted across the nation…. what could happen?

Today me and my homie, Chuck Chow attended the annual Gene Autry Oklahoma Film and Music Festival in where else but Gene Autry, Okla., (near Ardmore).

All my life I’ve used “Howdy” more than any other greeting and in this crowd… in the civic Center near the Gene Autry Church and the Gene Autry Volunteer Fire Department, so does everyone else.

Many in attendance dress the part, celebrating perhaps not the authentic West but the West portrayed in thousands of Western films… the exhibits are awash in boots, parasols, school marm dresses, marshal badges, cowhide vest and long sleeve shirts with pear snap buttons…. and enough six-guns to start a range war, I reckon.  

Autry (1907 – 1998) made a lot of mostly B Westerns which usually saw him meeting a nice girl and defending her honor in a fist-fight or with some fair gun slingin’ which usually involved The Singing Cowboy shooting the bad guy’s Colt from his hand.

Damned fine shootin’ from waist.

And yes, each two-reeler usually featured at least three or four songs, often on horseback.

Autry:

• acted in almost 100 films, and had soundtrack credit for 115 movies in a career that spanned more than a half century. 
• made 640 recordings, including 300+ songs he wrote or co-wrote.

And of course Autry had his own radio and TV shows in the 1940s and 50s, and was concerned that his young radio listeners would emulate him, so he wrote the Cowboy Code:

He told his fans that to be a good cowboy one:

1. must never shoot first, hit a smaller man, or take unfair advantage.
2. must never go back on his word, or a trust confided in him.
3. must always tell the truth.
4. must be gentle with children, the elderly and animals.
5. must not advocate or possess racially or religiously intolerant ideas.
6. must help people in distress.
7. must be a good worker.
8. must keep himself clean in thought, speech, action and personal habits.
9. must respect women, parents and his nation's laws.
10. must be a patriot.

Perhaps these few, now remarkable guides for life were his greatest contribution.

Gene Autry, great American.

The real fun today was meeting some of my favorite movie and TV character actors from the 40s, 50, and 60s, including Donna Douglas—The Beverly Hillbilly’s “Elly Mae”; Ben Copper, left and above, mostly known for his work in Westerns, including Duel at Apache Wells, Johnny Guitar and numerous TV appearances through the 1980s; and James Hampton best known for his portrayal of bugler “Dobbs” in TV’s send up of U.S. Calvary movies… F Troop.    . 

Cooper is shown below in a scene from Gunfight at Comanche Creek starring Audie Murphy,WWII Medal of Honor Recipient and one of the most decorated American soldiers of all time.

Cooper remembered Murphy as a “quiet, great guy” who was easy to work with.

Most people don’t know that Murph was also a successful country music songwriter. His songs were cover4ed by such diverse artists as as Dean Martin, Eddy Arnold, Charley Pride, Porter Waggoner, Roy Clark, and interesting, Harry Nilsson.

His two biggest hits were "Shutters and Boards" and "When the Wind Blows in Chicago". 

Donna Douglas, below with my main man, Chuck, was a dear heart; easy and pleasant with the fans, chatting and signing and posing for photos.  

When I purchased one of her photos I asked her if she recalled making a public appearance in Taft California about 1964-65 where I first met her as a high school student. (Donna is shown right with my protégé the aforementioned Mr. Chow.) 

Assuming she’d look quizzical or just say, “no”, she surprised me by immediately saying, “Yes, it was at a car dealership.”

Right she was…. and to this day I can still recall my, shall we say impure thoughts as I clasped her tiny hands and said “pleased to meet you”, my mind filled with fantasies that will be recounted in my soon-to-be published autobiography…. “I’ve Done Some Interesting, and Dangerous Things.”    

For those keeping track, Miss Elly May will be 76 tomorrow.

Ahh, where did my life go? 

Had some nice conversation with Jim Hampton, who lives in Trophy Club, Texas, in the Dallas area—just and hour and a half from here.

“F Troop” was a great TV series which should forever be respect for the punch line about the “Ha’kowie Indians” who were so named after being lost for a very long time and then finally uttered… “Where the heck are we?”

The tribe’s name has been changed over the years to a more humorous and far more crude punch line.

So?…  call Russell Means. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a great day, walking back through my childhood, full of Red Ryder BB Guns, Roy Rogers lunch pails, and humming the lyrics of “Happy trails…. to you… until we meet again…..”

And once again I felt very grateful for the childhood I had… when children were loved and given the right role models and expected to respond to those lessons. For a time of wholesomeness and easily defined lines, a great education and wonderful friends… most of whom I still have.

Those who came after me have my sympathy

Six months from now most of the nation won't remember that Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon are dead.

... because another well-known celebrity died yesterday and sucked all the air out of the room yesterday.

I'll always remember where I was when I learned Michael Jackson was dead... at my desk eating a sandwich; I got up and grabbed a beer.

In my charitable moments I can give the three-ring, freak show called "MJ" some compassion; his childhood was no doubt hellish what with a brutish and iron-fisted father and a very passive mother. The children's abuse is well-documented:

From a young age Jackson was physically emotionally abused by his father enduring incessant rehearsals, whippings and name-calling. Jackson's abuse as a child affected him throughout his grown life.

The Jackson boys were little more than indentured servants and if anyone ever looked at the books closely they'd find most of the money ended up in Dad's pocket.   

Michael's hatred of his father is the root cause of his near life-long effort to surgically remove from his own visage the features of a big, sexually mature black man. There was no more profound rejection of his abusive father than turning himself into a slight, white, asexual boy with a soft, falsetto voice... the absolute anathema of Joe Jackson; and to the point of disfigurement. 

An excuse for his later behavior? No... just an explanation.

Jackson, like The Grateful Dead, ruled over a very narrow slice of popular music which had no competitors; he and they were successful because no one the planet but they could perform their music.

He was an entertainer who followed Alice Copper's observation on performing: "For his 10 bucks a kid going to a concert deserves more than just some guys with guitars." 

He was Sammy Davis Jr. on steroids and probably was only happy when performing....  no past, no future, no father, only the adoration he never received from his childhood.

But at some point, the cheering always stopped.

Jackson was also intelligent and while no attorney or CPA, he kept his empire together for a very long time, until with his maturity his sexual nature, long repressed, fought it's way to the surface. Jackson was also smart enough to invent the "harmless man-child" personal that the media, his fans, perhaps even his family members, bought into and spouted as gospel.  

The "Neverland Valley Ranch", the toys, the zoo, were all covers for the rather passive pedophile which enabled him to talk disgusting mothers and fathers into turning over their children to him for his infamous "sleep overs". They pimped out their own kids so they could tell their friends they were "friends with Michael Jackson".

Each and everyone of them should have been arrested and their children taken from them.

His front page acquittal on sexual abuse charges a couple of years ago is all the news media (especially Jerry Rivers (aka Geraldo Herrera) chooses to report on his sexual lifestyle. And not much will be mentioned of the $20 million paid off to a family in exchange for their refusal to testify against him in criminal court on charges he molested their son.

Two more pimps. Twenty-million dollar pimps.

There would not be a Michael Jackson on stage, or the MJ with little boys constantly sitting on his lap if it wasn't for an immoral society that demands nothing and gives all to the most inconsequential segment of the populace... entertainers.

Other than Jackson himself, and his parents, the so called black community must bear great responsibility for allowing the singer (and O.J. Simpson) to get away with all he did.

There's an old political saying... "no enemies to my left"; we certainly see that today.

It's the same with black folk.... murderer, pedophile, insane, incompetent, criminal, liar, cheat or thug. It doesn't matter who or what or how they are.... above all, they are black and that's all that required to be tolerated or even revered.

Two words: Mike Tyson.

Think about that.... this extended even to Jackson; yet I'm blacker than he was. He was worked very hard to be intentional non-black, but blacks require nothing more than the color (or former color) of ones skin to form their philosophy. How else to you explain that upwards of 95% of black voters cast ballots for Obama... even those on military active duty.

Group think. Lemmings. Dangerous.

(This just in: the only evidence required for me above observation: four black members of the House of Representatives asked for and received a moment of silence for Jackson on the House floor.)

I digress. Michael Jackson's death a tragic loss....?  Yes--for those who made a living off him, for white businessmen, his family (I suppose), for his mindless, sycophantic worshipers?... so they will say.

As with Elvis Presley who invented the entertainer-out-of-control freak show bit, Jackson's death at 50 (eight years older than "The King") is just a blessing for a tormented soul.  

His passing means little in the end, except that his pain is over and many more children won't have bad dreams.

But then I never understood all the overwrought boo-hooing about Princess Di.

Ed McMahon -- March 6, 1923 – June 23, 2009

I wrote Ed McMahon back in the 80s and received a nice autographed 8x10 of him standing by the open gates of the NBC studies in "beautiful downtown Burbank."

It was signed, "Col. Ed McMahon, USMC-ret."

McMahon volunteered during WWII and trained as a fighter pilot, but was never overseas. In the 1950s, McMahon was recalled to duty for Korea. There, he got his hours in the F-9 Panther, and flew 85 combat missions as an artillery spotter in the Cessna OE Bird Dog.

Not an enviable job.

McMahon re-invented the "second-banana" role in show business and as Johnny Carson's side-kick, they changed the definition of late night television entertainment and it's safe to say that over their 30 years together on the Tonight Show they were "beloved" by two generations of viewers and fans.

All the rest who have followed... Leno, Letterman, O'Brien, and all the other imitators, they couldn't hold the old Tonight Show's microphone.

In his later years Ed fell on hard times and it was difficult to see him struggle... but that's only money and possessions. He'll be remember and apparently justifiably so, as a good guy.

Farrah Fawcett -- February 2, 1947 – June 25, 2009

If there was ever a quintessential American Girl for my generation, it had to be Farrah... hell, she was even from Texas.

It was easy to dismiss her because of the poster (still the largest-selling of all time with 12 million copies) and the fluff that was "Charlie's Angles", but in time she became a solid actress with several good roles before her career ran out and her own personal demons came to rule her life.

In the end she had a real dignity, fighting an absolutely horrible form of cancer for three years before passing on a few days ago.   

In a way beautiful women never grow old. Of course we see current photos and movies but that reality never seems to intrude on but what captured our eye in the first place.

Hell, I'm still in love with Veronica Lake who in my mind's eye remains as alluring, mysterious and smolderingly sexy as she was when I first saw The Blue Dahlia.

In fact, their careers were somewhat parallel and it always reminds me that despite great beauty and perhaps because of it, some will suffer greatly.

Still, when I see Farrah's photos from those days, for a while I feel younger and remember a simpler time when good health was a given and the party went on forever.

Sleep, princess.

I second our Amendment....

Attention bitter gun and Bible clingers: it's time to remind ourselves of The Messiah-Elect's plans for your God-given right to trade a sub-human's life for your family's.

• In anticipation of an April 16 debate in Philadelphia on the anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings, Obama told the Pittsburgh Tribune: "I am not in favor of concealed weapons. I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations."
• Obama's Web site says: "He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport and use guns for the purposes of hunting and target shooting."
• Obama believes the D.C. handgun law (struck down by the Supreme Court last summer) is constitutional. More here.

Nothing would please the socialists and communists more than disarming America by having Obama and the left-wing Congress muscle through a federal law banning concealed carry... as a prelude to doing away with the Second Amendment entirely.

Think that can't happen...? Think again. There was a time not so long ago that you could buy surplus military rifles dirt cheap and the postman would deliver it to your house.

And remember, D.C. v Heller saved our "right to keep and bear arms" by a single vote.

Obama, with his 24-hour, high-tech, armed protection doesn't worry much about his family's safety... he doesn't worry a gawd-damned bit about yours. 

 

Hummm, now that the multi-faceted coup has placed Obama in the Oval Office, the MSM has discovered a guy named Bill Ayers and the fact that The One lied his ass off about his relationship with the terrorist bomber and his murderous wife. 

And now Ayers is now officially gloating:

In the afterword to an updated version of his 2001 memoir "Fugitive Days", Ayers describes Barack Obama as "a family friend," which contrasts with Obama's description of him as "a guy who lives in my neighborhood. -- American Thinker.

I say "murderous" because I believe Bernadine Dohrn is guilt of conspiring, constructing, transporting and placing the bomb that killed a young San Francisco police officer, Brian V. McDonnell in 1970, juts like I believe O.J. Simpson butchered two innocent people at 875 N. Bundy Drive.

Dohrn was on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list and J. Edgar Hoover called her "the most dangerous woman in America." There is no statute of limitations on murder and although there was not enough evidence against Dohrn almost 40 years ago, science may yet prove her guilt.

The powerful bomb packed with barbed wire fence post staples, was intended to kill and maim; pieced of the bomb were found three blocks distant atop a three-story school building.

Larry Grathwohl, a former FBI informant in the Weather Underground, has testified before Congress that Ayers told him at the time he was in the terrorist organization and that Dohrn had personally planted the devastating bomb.

Grathwohl said Ayers criticized his terrorist cell, claiming that there was "... a real problems was that someone like Bernardine Dohrn had to plan, develop and carry out the bombing of the police station in San Francisco, and he specifically named her as the person that committed that act.”

Most people, let alone a politician, let alone a green politico in a national campaign, couldn't have gotten away with what Sarah Palin got away with last night.

As faithful readers will recall, I don't watch these sideshows because they aren't debates; I rely on the high(?)lights the next day.

Therefore... won, lost? Irrelevant. Palin came across as comfortable and confident; and based on a good strategy, she ignored Biden and the moderator... talking right past them, into the camera, to the American public.

In her column today Peggy Noonan liked the strategy, despite "... moments when she seemed to be doing an infomercial pitch for charm in politics. But it was an effective infomercial."

Likewise, Charles Krauthhammer today credits Palin's telegenic appeal with giving a much needed jolt to Maverick's campaign which has been headed south at the same rate that Palin's acceptance speech began to fade from memory.  

But, he accurately sees The One as having settled into a smart strategy of  sitting on the lead and not making any major blunders.   

Talk about Teflon, absolutely nothing sticks to Obama in the journalism-free zone that surrounds him. A psychotic, racist mentor who indoctrinated him for 20 years... no stick; terrorists... nope, campaign and cash irregularities..nada, failure to release medical records... hardly, buying his home at a fire sale price from a racketeer...not even; not to mention surviving a shrewish wife who has (wisely) been put on ice at an secret, undisclosed location until Nov. 5.

I lived a great portion of my life in Colorado, where I watched TV coverage of the weather grow from few seconds (current temp, wind velocity, it will/won't rain tomorrow) to reporting fall and winter storms as the Eighth Sign of the Apocalypse, by "teams" of "New Watch 4 Triple-Doppler Commandos."

I have laughed near unto tears at a succession of journalistic dunderheads stand outside in light snow and tell me that "this could be worse by morning."

Given a normal or above average snow fall, the TV coverage would "go to 11" and alarm the public no less than the "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast of 70 years ago next month.         

For some time now the 24-7 news cycle has treated all news and all weather in similar, "The Sky Is Falling" fashion.

Doom and gloom attracts attention. Think not? Go to you local airport and start screaming "My plane's gonna be bombed!"  Once you're out on bail, go back to the airport and calmly state in a reasonable voice, "My plane's gonna land safely."

After yesterday's dramatic rejection of The Bailout during which the market dropped farther than on 9/11, there has been the same kind of hysterical, blizzard, hurricane-type coverage.  

Yet with a little over two and half hours to go before today's close on Wall Street, we're at 10,722.43, up 356.98 since yesterday's close.

I'm not saying the current economic mess is not a crisis; I'm taking issue with how the old MSM reports these days... either with great irresponsibility or worse, with great political purpose.   

'If it bleeds, it leads" gains viewers; more viewers means higher add rates and thus, more money... we know that.

The politics are far more sinister; and that's what we are not giving enough attention.

Years ago, Bush, McCain, Greenspan and others warned about the dangers of the mortgage loan policies, including specifically the problems with Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac. 

The same leading Democrats (Barney Frank, Pelosi, etc) who now are blaming it all on “Bush’s failed economic policies” made public assurances that there was nothing wrong with the way they (the FM’s) were passing out bad loans and keeping two sets of books.  Had they not covered up the problem, and dealt with it in 2005, this crisis could have been averted.

What’s next?  Once we’ve circumvented/ravaged the Constitution with our emergency economic package, maybe we should see what other crisis only we can “save” the people from.  

Try to think like a socialista.

For example, why was a complete outline of he GOP congressional strategy for the bailout is given to Obama by Bush Administration Sec. of Treasury Henry Paulson? Why did he have it before McCain suspend his campaign and returned to Washington?

Black Americans have already hinted at, and some have flippantly said that should The Messiah lose the November election that there would be race riots. Of course I believe it... I was within a fire truck's drive to Watts in '65, and witnessed on television the rampage of murderous blacks attacking whites and Koreans over crack addict Rodney King, as well as them cheering the slaughter of two whites by O.J. Simpson.

News Busters.com reports that the NYT has turned its full, but limited talent and its pocketbook in to attacking Gov. Plain. Four hit pieces--a front page "news" article and three columns, totaling some 6,000 words, yesterday alone. 

LMAO: one of the pieces bemoans the fact that her husband, Todd, is, well, uppity: "... when the spouse of an elected governor steps away from safe issues that are nonpartisan in nature, that it is bad for the legislative and executive branches, and Todd Palin would not be an exception to that.”

Did we hear this at anytime in the eight-year Clinton co-presidency?

Has-been entertainer Chevy Chase, best known falling off ladders, and exhibiting his brilliance by leaving Saturday Night Live after it first season to become a mega-movie star, is attacking Gov. Palin.

He joins a growing list of Hollywood, attack-Palin lefties including pseudo-lesbo, drug addict and pop-slut, Lindsay Lohan and "Pink"; and from One-Hit Wonders Dept. comes the bimbo whose name is the answer to the trivia question: "who played TV's Wonder Woman?"; Matt Damon, Brad Garrett (hint: the brother on "Everybody Loves Raymond"), Silicone Valley's Pamela Anderson, and Bill Mahr and Roger Ebert (the morbidly obese movie critic).

Against such a formidable array of intellectual firepower, how can we Bible-clinging, gun-toting racists and homophobe Neanderthals stand a chance in November?    

The Falling Man

 

Some among us solemnly  observe that this is too hard to look at, too upsetting to remember.

Not for those who remember him, the Falling Man, as clearly as yesterday's sunrise, for those whom the image fills with a pulsing rage and a fervent prayer for retribution.

Yet others of our kinsmen choose to weep, to heal despite lack of wounds, light candles rather than torches.

They favor building memorials, while bestowing blame on the Falling Man for his own murder seven years ago this hour... on a bright, sunlit morning in the greatest, most benevolent nation ever in the world.

These are cowards, fifth-columnists, traitors, turncoats who have earned well the nation's hatred and disdain.   

They are politicians, preachers, high government officials, mothers and fathers, the poor and the rich, the powerful and the unknown, the judges and the judged; journalists, veterans and teachers, young as well as old ... they who take far more than they give, those who can be counted on, but only to skulk away in the darkest hour, leaving the innocent and defenseless to the wolves.

Some of these are politicians who seek leadership and to command mighty armies, yet seek actively, and plan for surrender.     

They and their ilk remain unmoved by a small, motivated band of American freedom fighters first to fight back in the deep blue skies above peaceful Pennsylvania farm land, first to inflict death upon on our Godless enemies at the sacrifice of their very lives... an act of singular heroism and love of country.

These craven legions never think of the patriots who ran to the fiery embrace of a certain and horrifying death to protect and save, nor do they regard and love the determined young men and who daily face their own horrifying deaths in distant lands for the opportunity to exact revenge in the name of the Three Thousand.  

In the 2,555 days since, we've not been allowed often the image of the Falling Man in the purposeful stirring of an enraged call to arms because there are those among who quail at the first rumble of distant thunder, who refuse to ride to the sound of the guns; those who would rather live a lifetime on their knees than one grand-glorious day on their feet.
